This is an image of the First Church of Christ ever built in Eldorado, Texas. Before the church was built the church group met and held services in the court house square, at the school house, and sometimes under the brush arbors. The first meeting to start the organization of the Church of Christ was held in October of 1901. In May of 1941 the church building was wrecked and remodeled. The church had the finishing touch of rock veneer and was then known as "The Rock Church of Christ."
