Eldorado Train Station

One of the major railways closest to Eldorado, Texas was the Orient Railway. The railway was a distance of 1,659 miles long. As long as the railway was, there was still a large gap between San Angelo and Del Rio, Texas. In 1912 the hopes of many Eldorado citizens were lost with the Orient and the thought of the gap between San Angelo and Del Rio being fixed. In 1929 the Santa Fe Railroad company began to repair the old Orient line. Through the Santa Fe Railways efforts, the railroads finally reached Eldorado, Texas. On March 30, 1930 the first train made its way to Eldorado, Texas.
