Young Fishermen

This is a picture of two little boys fishing on a bayou in June 1940. These two boys are probably brothers and just got off work and decided to go fishing. Children during the 1940's often worked just as hard as their parents trying to make ends meet. These boys are more than likely regular visitors to this fishing spot. Notice they are not using store bought fishing poles, these children probably came from a family with little money and had to make their own fishing poles.
