Alabama

This is an inspiring photo of four of the first African Americans to attend college being interviewed by a white reporter. This photo was taken in Montgomery, Alabama also known as Alabama's capital. Alabama was admitted to statehood on December 14, 1819. Its state bird is the Yellowhammer. The flower that represents the state of Alabama is the Camellia and the tree is the Moon Tree. Alabama's state song is "Alabama". Yellowhammer State is the nickname and the motto is "We dare maintain our rights". A few of Alabama's workers built the first rocket to put humans on the moon.
