This is a picture of the Confederate Monument in Louisville, Kentucky. Kentucky was admitted on June 1, 1792. It was the 15th state to enter the union. The capital of Kentucky is Frankfort. The bird that represents Kentucky is the Kentucky Cardinal, its flower is the Goldenrod, and its tree is the Tulip Poplar. The state song is "My Old Kentucky Home". Kentucky also has the nickname Bluegrass State. The motto for Kentucky is "United we stand, divided we fall". Kentucky is known for its famous Kentucky Derby which is held in Churchill Downs, Kentucky.
