This is an amazing photo of President James K. Polk's tomb, located in Nashville, Tennessee. Nashville is also the capital of Tennessee. Before Nashville became the capital of Tennessee, the city of Kingston served as Tennessee's capital for one day which was on September 21, 1807. Tennessee, was admitted to statehood on June 1, 1796. It's bird is the Mocking Bird. The flower of Tennessee is the beautiful iris and the tree is the Yellow-Poplar. Tennessee's state song is "My Homeland, Tennessee". Its nickname is The Volunteer State and the motto is "Agriculture and Commerce". |
