This is a picture of hard working African Americans loading up to head home after a day of farming. This photo was taken in Southern Mississippi in the early 1900's. Most African Americans worked on farms, and as you can see the women were also farm workers. Back in the early 1900's, African Americans really didn't get to choose their occupation, but they always worked hard at whatever they did. |
