Courthouse in Worcester,Massachusetts

Massachusetts, abbreviated MA, became a state on Feb. 6, 1788. It was the sixth state of the original thirteen colonies.  Massachusetts is famous for its cobble stone streets and its famous Boston cream pie, named after the capital. The state song is “All Hail to Massachusetts” written by Arthur J. Marsh. The state has a long list of state symbols, including the state drink, cranberry juice, state artist, Norman Rockwell, and state dog, which is none other than the Boston terrier. Massachusetts’s  nickname is the Bay State. The picture is of the fountain outside of the Harold D. Donohue Federal Building and Courthouse in Worcester, Massachusetts
