Post Office and Courthouse in New Bern, North Carolina

North Carolina, abbreviated NC, was the twelfth of the thirteen original colonies. It was admitted to the state hood Nov. 21, 1789. The state capital was New Bern from 1771 to 1776 the capital has been Raleigh since 1792. The state song is “The Old North State" by William Gaston and music by Mrs. E. E. Randolph.  The state bird is the Cardinal and the state tree is the Pine tree. This picture is of the post office and courthouse in New Bern, North Carolina
