African American Workers

This is a wonderful picture of African American migratory workers in 1941. The small shack resides in Belle Glade, Florida. It must have been very difficult to work in the conditions these men and women were facing. They struggled through a shortage of food, lack of proper work attire, and extreme long work days. One can't help but respect and admire their hard work.
