In Copperhill, Tennessee, you will find a copper mine on the outskirts of town. Isn't that a coincidence? This picture was taken in September of 1939, in that time period mines such as this one provided many people with good jobs, and a steady pay check. Even with this good pay, mining was a very difficult job; it was dangerous and risky.
