Workers Picking Cotton

This picture shows a group of African-American workers picking cotton on a hot day in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Not only was this a hard job, but it was a strenuous process and took a very long time. Workers, like these shown above, would come home with cuts and blisters on their hands from picking cotton all day. Cotton picking is definitely not your "ideal" job.
