Cotton Pickers

This is a great picture of day laborers picking cotton. These African Americans worked very hard to do their job. You can see there is a lot of cotton but these people  were committed to their job. It looks like they are not to far out of town because  there are electric power lines in the background. It was taken in Clarksdale, Mississippi in 1939.
