Pride is an extremely bold word to use in a sentence, but I take pride in my country. Pride for me started at an early age and it has just grown ever since. Our Four Fathers fought to give us freedom and that makes me extremely proud to be an American. When we are at war, our brothers are fighting for our freedom, but at the same time they are proud to be fighting for our country. To me, you can't show any more pride for a county than what they have shown.

You can always tell that people are proud of their country because they will probably have a flag in their yard. If more people would show their pride for our country maybe it would bring our nation closer together. Pride starts when we are children and it develops all our lives. We are taught pride in school and at home, and if you weren't it's not to late to start. Everybody is proud of something and I am proud to be an American.

Most countries don't have all the freedom and rights that we are blessed with, and I think that we take that for granted. We have the Freedom of Speech and the Freedom of Religion. Most people get told what to say or what religion that they will be. To me that is not right because I think everyone should get the right to choose for themselves. To me the right to choose is the most freedom you can give someone.
