Burley Tobacco

This picture is of burley tobacco laying in a field. The workers place the burley on sticks before it gets cured. This was a long process that the workers and farmers had to go through. In Lexington, Kentucky this is how most farmers made their living. Kentucky was excellent land for growing tobacco and that was one of the main crops harvested.
